All guides work independently of Escatawba Farms. We ask that the angler book directly with the guide of their choice. The best procedure, is to contact the guide and pull up the Escatawba site while discussing the timing of the visit. The angler can then book both Escatawba and the guide service in a seamless fashion.
They are also great ideas to consider if you’re planning a corporate or group outing as everyone in your party may not be at the same skill level.
Otters Guide Service is in the business of making memories in the outdoors. We guide families looking for a fun day, buddies out to fish hard, work groups looking for a better experience than golf, and anyone who is interested in having fun in the outdoors.

Demian Wiles of First Light Outfitters is happy to serve as your guide during your visit. A native of Monroe County, West Virginia, Demian has been fishing since he was twelve and guiding other anglers since 1994. As if it weren’t enough to be an expert fisherman, Demian is also a great cook. Tired of dry bologna sandwiches on fishing trips, he learned to cook and now offers amazing gourmet lunches. A special treat of a day out with Demian is one of his five seasonal menus featuring such entrées as seared scallops with red onion marmalade or braised pork loin with sweet potato succotash. So, whether he’s offering expert angling advice out of his 26 years of experience or memorable and delicious lunch breaks, we’re proud to offer the services of such a great guide. Demian, too, enjoys his time teaching at Escatawba Farms and notes that “you learn faster here, because you catch great fish.”
